Why Does 24-Hour On-Site Care Matter? Discover Owner-Led Home Care at Everyday Cat Hotel
For cat parents who need to leave their cats for several days, one of the biggest concerns is often:
“Is someone there with my cat at night?”
At Everyday Cat Hotel, Bow, the owner, and May, our caregiver, both live in the same building as the cat hotel. This means someone from the care team is present in the building during both the day and night, while the owner remains closely involved in the hotel’s daily care and operations seven days a week.
For us, however, having someone in the building 24 hours a day is only one part of good care.
Equally important is whether the people caring for your cat actually know your cat, notice changes in behavior and routine, and can adjust their approach to suit each individual personality.
That is why Everyday Cat Hotel follows an Owner-Led Home Care approach — combining 24-hour on-site caregiver presence with an owner who remains closely involved in the care of our cats every day.
What Does “24-Hour On-Site Care” Mean at Everyday Cat Hotel?
At Everyday Cat Hotel, May, our caregiver, lives in the same building as the cat hotel, and Bow, the owner, also lives in the same building.
This means someone from the care team is present in the building both during the day and overnight.
We may describe this as:
“24-hour on-site caregiver presence”
or
“A caregiver is on-site 24 hours a day.”
However, it is important to understand exactly what we mean by 24-hour care.
It means that a caregiver lives and remains within the same building as the hotel throughout the day and night.
It does not mean:
Someone continuously watches every cat every minute
One-to-one supervision is provided 24 hours a day
Every cat is continuously monitored by a person or camera
The Front Desk is open 24 hours
Check-in and check-out are available at any time throughout the night
Normal check-in, check-out, and customer service hours at Everyday Cat Hotel are 7:00 AM–8:00 PM daily.

Why Does Having Someone On-Site at Night Matter?
A cat’s daily life does not simply stop when business hours end.
Some cats prefer eating later in the evening. Some begin coming out of hiding only after the environment becomes quieter. Others may start feeling more comfortable once daytime activity around them has settled down.
Having someone from the care team present in the building during both the day and night helps provide greater continuity of care.
Our operating model is designed so that someone remains close to the hotel area throughout the day and night and can coordinate with the owner when additional attention is needed.
What Is Different About an Owner-Led Cat Hotel?
Another important part of Everyday Cat Hotel is that Bow, the owner, closely oversees the hotel’s care and operations seven days a week.
When we say the hotel is “owner-led,” it does not mean Bow performs every task by herself.
Our caregivers and team members work together to care for the cats according to their roles.
Owner-Led Care means that the owner is not separated from the hotel’s day-to-day care.
Bow remains involved in the care of our guests, stays informed about how they are doing, and follows important situations together with the team.
When a cat stays with us for several days, several weeks, or even several months, this continuity also helps the team gradually learn things such as:
What time the cat prefers to eat
Where they like to sleep
What kinds of toys they enjoy
How quickly they become comfortable with people
Whether they enjoy being petted
What behaviors they show when they begin feeling stressed
How much personal space they prefer
What kind of routine helps them feel most familiar and comfortable
These small details are often learned simply by spending real time with a cat.ฅ

The Owner Is Also Personally Involved in Customer Communication
Owner involvement at Everyday Cat Hotel is not limited to behind-the-scenes operations.
Bow, the owner of Everyday Cat Hotel, personally responds through our LINE Official account and communicates directly with customers in many situations.
This may include conversations about:
Room availability
Your cat’s personality
Preparing for the stay
Feeding routines
Medication or care routines
Special behaviors
Concerns you may have before boarding
This means cat parents are not necessarily communicating with a reservation department that is completely separate from the people involved in caring for their cats.
Direct communication with the owner can also help important information about each cat — such as personality, preferences, routines, medication, special concerns, and handling considerations — reach the care team with more context.
For us, this is another part of Owner-Led Home Care.
Care does not begin only when a cat checks in.
It begins from the first conversation, learning about the cat, understanding their routine, and listening to the concerns their family may have before the stay.
What Does Owner-Led Home Care Mean at Everyday Cat Hotel?
Having someone on-site 24 hours a day and providing Home Care are two different ideas, but they work together.
24-hour on-site care means a caregiver is present within the building during both the day and night.
Home Care describes how we approach the cat’s everyday care.
At Everyday Cat Hotel, our Home Care approach includes:
Trying to maintain each cat’s familiar routine
Feeding according to the times and portions provided by the owner
Observing each cat’s personality and behavior
Avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach
Providing Playtime and opportunities to come out of the room
Never mixing cats from different households
Providing human interaction according to each cat’s comfort level
Sending photo and video updates every day
Supporting selected established care routines that the hotel is able to provide
Staying in communication with cat parents throughout the stay
Our goal is not to claim that staying in a cat hotel will feel exactly the same as being at home.
Moving to a new environment is still a change for a cat.
What we try to provide is a setting and care approach that feels warm, familiar, personal, and consistent enough for each cat to gradually settle into their own routine.
Can Shy Cats Stay at Everyday Cat Hotel?
Yes.
Shy cats can stay at Everyday Cat Hotel.
Our team gradually adjusts the way we approach each cat based on their personality. We do not rush or force interaction, and we give them time to become familiar with the environment and caregivers at their own pace.
Some cats may not want to be touched during the first few days.
Our approach may begin with:
Sitting nearby
Speaking softly
Allowing the cat to observe and become familiar with us
Introducing toys when they begin showing interest
Gradually petting or touching them when they are receptive
Increasing interaction as their trust develops
From our experience, most cats begin adjusting and becoming familiar with their caregivers within approximately 2–3 days.
A calm environment, consistent routines, and having people who can talk, play, or simply sit nearby according to the cat’s comfort level can help with this adjustment.
However, every cat is different.
Some may settle in quickly, while others need more time.
Our team observes each cat’s behavior and gradually adapts our approach to suit the individual cat.
Cats Do Not Stay Inside Their Rooms All Day
Our Home Care approach does not mean leaving cats inside their rooms throughout the entire day.
Everyday Cat Hotel has multiple Playtime areas where cats can come out to:
Walk and explore
Run and play
Play with toys
Experience a change of environment
Spend time with caregivers
Be petted or scratched if they enjoy it
Sit with someone
Have human interaction according to their comfort level
During Playtime, cats are released one household at a time, and cats from different families are not mixed together.
A typical Playtime session lasts approximately one hour.
During normal periods, cats generally receive around 3–4 Playtime sessions per day.
During High Season, this is generally around 2 sessions per day.
The actual number may vary depending on hotel occupancy, daily operations, and what is appropriate for each individual cat.
Some Cats Receive Extra Personal Time With the Owner
For certain cats who are particularly comfortable with people, have suitable personalities, and are considered safe for closer interaction, Bow may occasionally bring them into her private living area to spend additional time together.
In some cases, cats who become especially close to Bow may even sleep nearby in her bedroom.
This is case-by-case Extra Personal Attention.
It is not a standard service and does not mean that every cat will receive the same type of interaction.
What matters is not whether every cat is held, sleeps next to someone, or constantly interacts with people.
What matters is understanding how much closeness and interaction each individual cat actually feels comfortable with.

Why Is This Care Model Suitable for Long-Term Cat Boarding?
Maintaining a familiar routine is important even for a short stay.
When a cat stays for several weeks or several months, continuity becomes even more important.
Everyday Cat Hotel provides Long-Term Boarding, and we have cared for many cats who have stayed with us for several months.
We also have cats who have been staying with us for more than three years and are still with us today, to the point where Everyday Cat Hotel has gradually become another primary home for them.
These experiences have shown us that long-term boarding is about much more than simply adding more nights.
Over time, the team gradually becomes familiar with:
Personality
Feeding times
Eating habits
Preferred playtimes
Favorite sleeping areas
How the cat asks for attention
How much human interaction they enjoy
Medication or care routines, when applicable
The more time we spend with a cat, the better we understand their routine, making long-term care more continuous and familiar.
What Happens if Food or Litter Runs Out During a Long Stay?
This can easily happen during long-term boarding.
Food or litter may run out earlier than expected, or the owner may need to extend the boarding period while still overseas.
Everyday Cat Hotel therefore has an in-hotel Pet Shop offering essentials such as:
Cat food
Cat litter
Necessary cat supplies
If the items brought from home are not enough, our team can help arrange additional supplies when appropriate.
This supports Continuity of Care without requiring the owner to return to the hotel simply to bring more food or litter.
Can You Help Give My Cat Medication?
Yes.
Everyday Cat Hotel can assist with regular medication, including:
Tablets
Liquid medication
Topical medication
Owners should provide the medication name, dosage, timing, frequency, method of administration, and any relevant instructions in advance.
If the medication is part of a veterinary treatment plan, we recommend providing the veterinarian’s instructions when appropriate.
Some cats can be difficult to medicate or may resist handling, so we cannot guarantee that medication can be successfully administered every single time in every situation.
If difficulties occur, our team will assess the actual situation and communicate with the owner.
What Happens if My Cat Becomes Unwell at Night?
Having someone from the care team present in the building day and night does not mean that every event involving every cat can be seen at every moment.
However, if our team notices unusual behavior or signs that a cat may be unwell, our general approach is:
Observe → Inform the owner → Coordinate the next steps → Visit a veterinarian if necessary
If needed, our team can help take the cat to a veterinary clinic or animal hospital.
If the owner has a preferred veterinary facility, we can also help coordinate with that facility depending on the situation.
Everyday Cat Hotel is not a veterinary clinic.
We do not diagnose medical conditions or independently change veterinary treatment plans.
24-Hour On-Site Care Is About More Than the Number of Hours
We want cat parents to understand that simply having someone present in the building 24 hours a day is only the foundation of our Care Model.
At Everyday Cat Hotel, the more important questions are:
Who is caring for the cat?
Do they actually know the cat?
Do they spend enough continuous time with the cat to understand them?
Do they notice how the cat is adjusting?
And:
Can they change the way they approach the cat based on that individual cat’s personality?
This is why we use the term Owner-Led Home Care.
We do not simply want someone to “be there.”
We want the care to be close, continuous, personal, and human enough for our team to gradually get to know each cat as an individual.
What You Should Know About “24-Hour On-Site Care”
At Everyday Cat Hotel, this means a caregiver lives and remains within the same building as the cat hotel during both the day and night.
It does not mean continuous one-to-one supervision of every cat every minute.
Normal check-in, check-out, and customer service hours are 7:00 AM–8:00 PM daily.
Trust Comes From More Than Simply Saying “24 Hours”
We believe choosing a cat hotel should not depend on a single marketing claim.
Cat parents may want to consider:
Who actually provides the care
What the Care Model looks like
What the rooms are like
Whether cats from different households are kept separate
Whether cats receive Playtime
How shy cats are approached
Whether owners receive photo and video updates
What happens if a cat becomes unwell
Whether genuine customer reviews are available
Whether the hotel and its care process can be verified
Everyday Cat Hotel has experience caring for more than 1,000 cats, has a 5/5 Google Rating based on our latest verified information, and is closely overseen by the owner seven days a week.
We prefer to build trust through real experience, real reviews, real photos, a real hotel, and real care processes.

Owner-Led Home Care — Someone Is There, and Someone Knows Your Cat
For us, close care is about much more than being able to say “24 hours.”
What we want to create is a place where, when cat parents need to travel or cannot personally care for their cats, there is still someone paying attention to questions such as:
Did they eat normally today?
Are they beginning to trust us?
Do they want to play, or would they rather rest?
Has their routine changed?
How would they prefer us to approach them today?
As the team spends more time with a cat, we gradually get to know them better.
And that is the heart of Owner-Led Home Care at Everyday Cat Hotel — not simply having someone inside the building, but having people who make the effort to know, understand, and care about each individual cat.
If your cat is shy, needs medication, will be staying for a longer period, or you are simply unsure what type of care would suit them best, you are always welcome to talk with our team before making a decision.
